Funding Opportunity – Tech to Connect Challenge

//Funding Opportunity – Tech to Connect Challenge

Nesta have launched a prize called the Tech to Connect Challenge and applications are open to all charities, social enterprises and social ventures – the aim is to find tech solutions, in the widest sense, to address social isolation.

Social isolation is being looked at in a broad context here too; people can be isolated due to a myriad of reasons – from a diagnosis, to managing illness, bereavement, or a challenging life transition, to feeling held back by ethnicity, gender, sexuality or class.

There’s £500,000 worth of business support and £500,000 in grant funding available.

Nesta Challenges will provide guided support to seven finalists, so they can develop their ideas into working prototypes.

Submissions open from 26 June and the deadline for entries is 7 August.
