We have an exciting opportunity for a well-motivated and articulate person to join our small and friendly team.

Forum Central is the voice of the health and care third sector in Leeds, bringing specialist knowledge around learning disabilities, mental health, older people and physical and sensory impairment. You can find out more on our website

Responsible to: PSI-Volition Director

Salary:  NJC SP 23–25 £26,999 pro rata 

Hours:  31 hours per week 

Holidays: 28 days (plus bank holidays) pro rata 

Employing Body: PSI-Volition

Contract: Permanent subject to funding 

Pension:  6% Company scheme or contribution to private pension scheme

We are looking for someone who can think strategically, has a strong understanding of the third sector and brings excellent partnership working, networking and influencing skills. This role will have a specific focus on the area of learning disabilities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join us at a pivotal time for the health and care third sector in Leeds, working alongside a range of colleagues in the third sector and beyond. The job will provide the successful candidate with an interesting, stimulating and rewarding portfolio of work.

Salaries are linked to NJC pay scales where salaries are negotiated with unions annually and we offer generous holidays and pension contributions.

Sean is the communications Officer at Leeds Older People’s Forum (LOPF) and also deals with admin and office management. He enjoys the wide variety of his role which covers things like designing reports and documents, organising meetings, putting together ebulletins, writing blogs, updating the LOPF website and social media and making sure that the office never runs out of milk. He has worked in the third sector since 2001 first with Volition and then LOPF and is the longest serving member of the Forum Central team. Previous to this Sean had mainly worked in horticulture and also had a spell managing a newsagent shop.
