In June the Prime Minister set out a funding settlement for the NHS in England for the next five years.
In return, the NHS has been asked to set out a long term plan for the future of the NHS by autumn 2018 , setting out the ambitions for improvement over the next decade, and plans to meet them over the five years of the funding settlement.
Developing the plan
As part of that process it is vital that all those who rely on and work in or alongside the NHS have the opportunity to contribute their ideas, experiences and insights.
- life stage,
- clinical priorities and
- enablers of improvement
Each theme covers a number of different areas which are believed have the greatest potential to deliver improvements to the way the NHS provides care. In each section an overview of some of the key challenges is provided and a series of questions that you are encouraged to answer to provide a consistent way of understanding peoples’ feedback.
You may choose to provide responses for every topic, or just the ones that are important to you or the group you represent. You may not be able to respond to all the questions – however all responses are very welcome.
