Memory Cafes

Alzheimer’s Society produces a list of monthly Memory Cafes in the Leeds Area.

There are many memory cafes situated all over the Leeds area that people with memory problems, their care supporter and family members can attend to meet new people, make new friends, have a chat over a nice cup of tea and cakes and get to know other people with similar issues.

Some of the cafes have entertainment, themes, dancing or you can just relax for a couple of hours.

You can download the list here…

Singing Groups

If you enjoy singing why not come along and join in a sing-a-ling and make many friends at the same time – it also helps aid relaxation and promotes positive emotions and wellbeing.

Reminisce with familiar tunes and friendly faces.

There are many groups in Leeds who sing once a month either informally or with a trained facilitator.

These groups are for people with dementia and their carers.
