Leeds Mindfulness Co-op has over 10 years of experience in delivering Breathworks Mindfulness for Health courses.
This course is based around 8 x 2.5hr sessions in a supportive group environment (6-12 people).
Each week introduces key ideas and practices which help us to live well in the face of health challenges such as pain, fatigue, chronic illness, anxiety and depression.
The course is suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience of mindfulness.
The course encourages practice at home between sessions using the course book and audio material provided.
- learn to bring a gentle awareness to body sensations, feelings and thoughts
- let go of habits of rumination and dwelling on difficulty that can lead to anxiety and low mood
- build a new relationship to difficult experience which lets them respond compassionately to themselves and make positive choices to support their own wellbeing
- connect with other people with shared experience, reducing a sense of isolation and loss. Everyone who completes the course can join our thriving community of practice
