The next Forum Central Physical and Sensory Impairment Information and Strategy Session is on

23 April | 1.30pm -3.00pm at The Old Fire Station in Gipton, Leeds

Come along to:

  • Hear from ​Simon Cox, Disabled Person’s Community Partner at DWP, on how we can work collaboratively together to strengthen awareness and understanding of the needs of disabled people around employment
  • Network with other members who work with or support disabled people with physical or sensory impairments
  • Talk about other issues affecting disabled people in the city
  • Get the latest on Forum Central – and more!

There will also be time to share news and updates, so do bring along any leaflets or service information to share.

BSL interpreters will be available if required – please let us know at the time of booking.

The Old Fire Station is a wheelchair-accessible venue. There is a hearing loop. Onsite parking available, and it is on several regular bus routes. If you would like more information about the venue, please get in touch.

Our meetings are open to everyone with an interest in the physical and sensory impairment third sector in Leeds – so do feel free to share with any colleagues who would like to come along too.

Sean is the communications Officer at Leeds Older People’s Forum (LOPF) and also deals with admin and office management. He enjoys the wide variety of his role which covers things like designing reports and documents, organising meetings, putting together ebulletins, writing blogs, updating the LOPF website and social media and making sure that the office never runs out of milk. He has worked in the third sector since 2001 first with Volition and then LOPF and is the longest serving member of the Forum Central team. Previous to this Sean had mainly worked in horticulture and also had a spell managing a newsagent shop.
