13 September | 10am -12noon at The Vinery
It’s been a while so we hope that the wait will be worth it as we have lined up a couple of really interesting speakers: new Tenfold members Lighthouse Futures Trust who run Yorkshire’s first special free school for young people aged 11 to 19 with an autistic spectrum condition (ASC) or related communication disorder. They offer a highly personalised education which combines national curriculum with vocational subjects and valuable life, social and communication skills as well as providing employment opportunities at their cafe and gardening project – come along to find out more.
Another third sector organisation, Whiispa, will also join us to talk about the exciting new services they are delivering from their Sensory Leeds based in Headingley.
There will also be an update about the work of Forum Central from Kath Lindley and Tenfold Chair Andy Rawnsley, and a chance to meet Lucy Graham who has recently joined Forum Central picking up the work that Gill Crawshaw had been doing on Mental Health and Physical and Sensory Impairment.
It is of course a chance to network and share your ideas, challenges and news with other members. We are looking forward to catching up you after the summer!
We really hope you will join us.
